El Black Friday es un evento comercial que se ha extendido a lo ancho del mundo durante los últimos años, que consiste en varios días de rebajas (comenzando por un viernes) que da la salida a la campaña consumista navideña. Su origen tiene lugar en EEUU, siendo el día en el que comenzaban las rebajas. En Europa, las grandes empresas lo han popularizado los últimos años por poseer un alto interés comercial, y sirve de escaparate a los grandes almacenes para promocionarse de cara a la campaña de navidades.
Este evento tiene especial relevancia para los gigantes del comercio, como por ejemplo El Corte Inglés, hasta el punto de que son capaces de conseguir que las grandes ciudades programen el encendido de la iluminación navideña precisamente el «Viernes Negro». Este es el caso de Barcelona o Madrid, ciudades que bajo supuestos ayuntamientos de corte «popular» habían decidido retrasar el encendido de luces para evitar derroches innecesarios, y que finalmente han tenido que «rectificar», es decir, ceder ante las exigencias de las multinacionales del comercio.
Pero el Black Friday no sólo es el símbolo del capitalismo consumista y derrochador. También es el modelo de trabajo que se quiere imponer en el sector del comercio: jornadas laborales que duran todo el día, apertura en domingos y festivos, imposibilidad de conciliar vida personal y familiar… Buscan un modelo laboral a «la americana», en el que las tiendas estén abiertas día y noche y fines de semana y los contratos sean temporales y precarios, abusando de las horas de trabajo, y sustituyendo los salarios dignos por primas en base a la producción (primas de venta). En definitiva, el Black Friday representa el capitalismo más extremo y nos degrada tanto como consumidores, por imponer un modelo de derroche irracional, y también como trabajadores, por ser un paso más en la precarización total y absoluta de nuestras condiciones laborales.
Explicado todo esto, no es de extrañar que un evento así genere sueños húmedos a empresa como El Corte Inglés. Por ello, dentro de la campaña de boicot que estamos llevando a cabo, hacemos un llamamiento de solidaridad para que se boicotee y señale a esta empresa a lo largo del próximo fin de semana, así como que se denuncie y se exprese repulsión y náusea frente a un evento comercial que promociona el capitalismo más salvaje.
